Redefining the Future of Payment Software
At Payably, we’ve always believed that the best solutions are born from listening to the needs of the print owners. Today, tech companies tell business owners how they should be running their company rather than listening to business owners’ pain points. It is time to stop relying on a prophet that thinks they know your company better than you do.
This month, our in-house expert and breakout fintech ambassador, Finn, sat down with Payably to talk about what’s coming next — and why the leap we’re about to take will reshape the way print shop owners handle transactions, growth, and success.
Finn: Why is now the moment to expand what Payably offers?
Payably: We’ve spent over 20 years working side by side with printers, watching where traditional platforms fall short. From disconnected systems to overpriced software systems, it’s clear the industry needs a solution that’s intuitive, transparent, and built for the way print shops actually operate. That’s why now — not later — is the time to evolve.
Finn: Let’s talk about the transaction experience. I’ve seen what’s coming. What’s the goal?
Payably: The goal is simple: make getting paid seamless. We’re talking about redesigned, user-friendly transaction pages that offer a frictionless experience for your customers and more visibility and control for you. Payment shouldn’t be the bottleneck — it should be the launchpad.
Finn: Alright, let’s address the rumors. Are you a credit card processing company?
Payably: We are a software company that helps you get paid. What this means is that you can accept payments with our software and keep your current credit card processor. Our software is meant to help print shops create new revenue streams. We believe in expanding the value of a platform beyond just payment collection. There’s something coming that taps into ecommerce, print-on-demand potential, and smart inventory solutions. But we’re not ready to spill the ink just yet.
Finn: I’ve worked with a lot of platforms. Square is flashy. Stripe is technical. Why is Payably different?
Payably: We built software specific to the print industry, we’re not a white-label of other SAAS like salesforce. Square and Stripe are great for generalists. Payably is designed for print businesses, specialty retailers, and service-based entrepreneurs who need a platform tailored to the nuances of how they operate — and how they grow.
Finn: That’s why I signed on. Bristol Pay gets it. You don’t just throw software at a problem — you solve for what matters most. And I’m not just a mascot. I’m a frontline expert. I work for Payably because printers deserve better. They deserve a platform that leaps with them.
Payably: And we’re just getting started.
